Jack L. Anderson, 84, of Stephenville, died Friday, January 14, 2011, in Stephenville. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 18th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Howard Martin officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Monday, at Stephenville Funeral Home. Jack was born on June 4, 1926, in Walnut Springs to the late Russell Young and Dennie Pearl Broyles Anderson. He married Mary Ferguson, June 26, 1948 in Stephenville. Jack graduated from Texas A & M, and was a civil and mechanical engineer. He spent over 30 years as plant manager for Certain Teed Corporation in Hillsboro. Jack served in the U. S. Army during WWII, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He and Mary have lived several years in Stephenville. Survivors include his wife, Mary; son, John R. Anderson of Dallas; cousin, Bill Payne of Corpus Christi; brother-in-law, Charles W. Ferguson of Irvine, Calif.; nephew, Charles W. Ferguson, Jr. of Alameda, Calif.; niece, Kathy Richardson of Tucson, Arizona; sister-in-law, Cynthia Donat Ferguson of New Orleans; nephews, David Ferguson of Harrison, Tenn. and Christopher Ferguson of Winchester, Virginia; niece, Susan Ferguson of New Orleans; and other distant relatives.
