Imogene Cardwell Mccoy

Imogene Cardwell McCoy, 82, of Stephenville, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at Baylor All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 16, at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be at 6 PM to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Imogene was born on December 29, 1924, in the Corinth Community here in Erath County to the late Robert Lee and Mozell James Cardwell. She married Loyd Hayden McCoy, February 17, 1943, in Stephenville. He preceded her in death September 27, 1983. Imogene was a bookkeeper, and worked several years as a receptionist at Stephenville Funeral Home. She was a member of Harvey Baptist Church, and a life long resident of Erath County. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jalea and Richard Cowan of Stephenville; sister and brother-in-law, Bennie Ruth and Buck Turley of Stephenville; three grandchildren, Richard Wade Cowan, Jr., Matthew Wayne Cowan, and Jessica Nicole Cowan; great granddaughter, Kyndall Grace Cowan; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Winnie Lee McNeill.
