Imogene Hatchett Garner, 92, of Selden, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012 in Dallas. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 PM Friday, November 2nd at Selden Cemetery with Rev. Emil V. Becker officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Imogene was born on November 23, 1919 in Selden to Franklin Neil and Ada Elizabeth Carey Hatchett. She married James Lewis Garner on June 21, 1936 in Selden. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1991. Imogene spent most of her life in Selden, where she was a member of the Selden Baptist Church, and also the First Baptist Church in Stephenville. She moved to Dallas 17 years ago to be close to her family, and became a member of the South Garland Baptist Church. Imogene was a homemaker, but spent the last of her working years as a cook with the Stephenville ISD. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Garner of Dallas; brother, Jimmy and wife Mildred Garner of Bedford; grandson, Brian and wife Lisa Garner of Southlake; and great grandsons, Wyatt and Braden Garner; sister, Dorothy Irene Allen of Garland; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the South Garland Baptist Church, 1330 E. Centerville Road, Garland, TX 75041
