Ila Mae Bays

Ila Mae Bays, 92, of Stephenville died Sunday, July 10, 2011 in Stephenville Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Locke officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Ila Mae was born December 28, 1918 in Erath County to the late Henry and Lillie Taylor Hare. She married Louis J. Bays on October 2, 1943 in Erath County. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1996. Ila Mae was a member of the Highland Missionary Baptist Church, a homemaker, and a life long resident of Erath County. Survivors include a son, Larry and his wife Dannah Procter Bays of Lingleville; daughters, Judy and husband Billy Mack Barnes of DeLeon and Linda and husband Greg Badgett of Weatherford; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter.
