Hurrsell Ray Whitefield

Hurrsell Ray Whitefield, 84, passed away on September 11, 2024, in Stephenville. He was born
on June 6, 1940, to John R and Grace (Calvin) Whitefield, in Dublin. After high school he served
in the National Guard. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. In June
of 2007 he married Erma Bean in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Hurrsell is survived by his wife, Erma Whitefield, his children, Anita Carey and her husband,
Mark, Angie Ford and her husband, Brent, stepdaughter, Lorissa Sanchez, grandchildren,
Monty Carey and his wife, Courtney, Marshall Carey and his wife, Callie, Megan Metsgar, and
Dylan Metsgar and his wife, Stephanie, as well as his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Carey, and
Lewis Carey.
Hurrsell is preceded in death by both of his parents.
A graveside service for Hurrsell will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at
Lingleville East End Cemetery with Scotty Whitefield officiating. A visitation will be on Saturday,
September 14, 2024, from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., at Stephenville Funeral Home.
