Hubeart Lee Savage, Sr

Hubeart Lee Savage Sr. of Weatherford, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at home in Weatherford surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be held 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday evening at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Noon at East Memorial Cemetery officiated by Reverend Tom Plumbley of the First Christian Church of Fort Worth.

Hubeart was born on May 16, 1934, in Bluff Dale, and served as a resident of Stephenville until the early 1980’s. Hubeart has lived in Weatherford since 2001. He was a respected self-employed Radiator Repairman in Stephenville and Granbury and was well known for his honesty and workmanship.  In his retirement, those same qualities were applied to his love of woodworking and later sharpening blades for the community. He loved unconditionally his children, grandchildren and friends and enjoyed fishing and spending time with those he loved.  He was married to Norma Sue McAlister for 62 years before her death and to Norma Jean Bennet for the last 5 years.

Hubeart is survived by his wife, Norma Jean; son and daughter-in-law, Hubert, Jr and Norma Lee Savage of Granbury; daughter and son-in-law, Twila and James Christy, Jr. of Riesel; Stepson James Pegg of Fort Worth and Stepdaughter Elizabeth Faulkner of Arlington; grandsons David Ash III, Kevin Brock; James Aron Pegg, and James Christy III; granddaughters, Trista Strait, Erica Ledingham, and Ashley Brooks; numerous great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
