Hoyte Cantrell

Hoyte Cantrell, 95, of Morgan Mill died Friday, April 13, 2012 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Laraine Waughtal officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Bluff Dale. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Hoyte was born on September 26, 1916 in Erath County to the late Pink and Belva Davis Cantrell. He married Rosamond Drennan on October 2, 1941 in Fort Worth. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2011. Hoyte was a member of the Morgan Mill Methodist Church, and has served over 36 years as a board member of Erath County Electric/United Cooperative Services. He was a lifelong resident of Erath County, living since 1941 on his home place, he purchased between Morgan Mill and Bluff Dale. Hoyte was a farmer. Survivors include his daughter, Ann and husband Bob Andrews of Morgan Mill; son, Tommy and wife Karen Cantrell of Morgan Mill; grandchildren, Steve Andrews, Alex Cantrell, Peyton and husband Darron Arnold, and Chris Keating; great grandchildren, Shalee and Courtney Andrews, Braxton Cantrell, Kaitlyn Arnold, and Madyson Cantrell; sisters, Christine Parks of Fort Worth, and Orletha Densmore of Keene; several nieces and nephews.
