Howard Wesley Northcutt, 89, of Stephenville, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at his home in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Stephenville Funeral Home with Rev. Emil Becker officiating assisted by Rev. Glenn Shock. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Howard was born July 13, 1919, in Hasse, TX to the late Thomas James and Lela Beatrice Stark Northcutt. He married Irene Thompson Ratliff, March 15, 1986 in Stephenville. He was a graduate of Proctor High School, and served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Howard was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and a 32nd degree Mason. He lived several years in Malakoff, before moving back to Stephenville in 2004. He retired in 1974 after several years with Mobil Oil Company. Howard is survived by his wife, Irene; two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard Wesley and Ann Northcutt of Mansfield and Randy and Jane E. Northcutt of Shreveport, LA; step-daughter, Louise Armstrong of Deleon; step-son, Clayton and wife Patty Ratliff of Comanche; brother, Merlin Pres and wife Betty Northcutt of Fort Lauderdale, FL; sister, Edith Jo Anderson of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Anna, Andrew, Alan, and Travis; 13 step grandchildren and 21 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two wives, Elizabeth Moreland Northcutt and Dorothy Nell Mathis Northcutt; a sister, Peggy Hanson; and two step-daughters, Gloria June Fair and Shirley Ann Sikes
