Wesley Holly Stacy died in De Leon on Feb. 4, 2021.

Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, February 7th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will begin 3:00 PM Sunday, one hour prior to services.

Holly was born in Chalk Mountain, Texas, June 17, 1930, to Barm and Ida Smith Stacy. He married Ernestine Hickey in Dublin on August 19, 1952.  Holly was a veteran of the Korean War and served in Korea in 1952-53 in the US Army.  He owned Stacy Trucking until his retirement. In retirement he enjoyed real estate investment and “junkin”. Holly loved nothing more than a good real estate deal or a great  “junkin” find!  He had a special business savvy for finding a good deal!  Holly and Ernestine had booths in antique malls in Granbury and Benbrook. For 17 years they had a space at Warrenton during the Roundtop Antique Sale.

Beloved by his family, he had the special tribute of having two of his grandchildren named for him; Holly Danielle Peterson and Logan Wesley DeLeon.

Holly is survived by his three daughters and their spouses, Rick and Carla Trussell of Stephenville, Ron and Kaye Quinn of De Leon and Danny and Leslie Peterson of Aledo. He is survived by 6 grandchildren, Daron Trussell (Hillary)of Stephenville, Lindsay DeLeon (Max) of McAllen, Jeremy Quinn ((Kristy) of Joshua, Dusty Quinn (Leah) of Brock, Tarren Peterson of Chicago, Illinois, and Holly Peterson of Washington, D.C.  He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; Keller and Lola Trussell; Aiden, Wyatt, and Logan DeLeon; Miller, Granger, and Chandler Quinn; Makenna and Snyder Quinn.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ernestine; his parents Barm and Ida Stacy; his brothers Aubrey and Albert Stacy and his sister Polly Jacobs.

Holly loved his dog, Lucy, his loyal companion. She was rescued from Stephenville Humane Society and donations in Holly’s memory to the local animal shelter would be much appreciated.

Stacy family ask that those who attend the memorial service PLEASE WEAR  MASKS.
