Hiro Kunishige

Hiro Kunishige, 87, of Stephenville died Tuesday April 28, 2009 at a local nursing home. He was born May 26, 1921 in Fresno, CA to the late Totsuchi and Haru Yamanaka Kunishige. He married May Yoshioka on June 19, 1952 in Chicago, IL. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2009. Memorial Services for both Hiro and May will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 9 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dean Reed officiating. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Hiro was a member of First United Methodist Church and had resided in Stephenville for 54 years moving here from Chicago. He served in the US Army. Survivors include two daughters, Elyse Gilbert and husband Arthur; Julia Ledbetter; and one son, Scott Kunishige all of Stephenville.
