Harry B. Dodge, Jr. was born on May 19, 1931 in Luling, Texas to Harry and Elvis Dodge, Sr. Harry, Jr. died on June 15, 2011 at the Stephenville Nursing Home in Stephenville, Texas. Harry had just turned 80 years of age on May 19, 2011. In 2003 he made his home in Stephenville, Texas after moving from Fayetteville, Arkansas. He had worked as a building maintenance engineer all of his life until 1992 when he retired. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, he spent most of his life preaching to others about God's Kingdom and the blessings that it will bring to those who put faith in Jehovah God. He is survived by his loving wife, Julia Dodge, and children whom he loved very much: Larry Thomas Dodge, Gary Edward Dodge, PaulaJane Dodge, Timothy Lee Dodge, Cathey Oberdove, Kathleen Ann Ohlau, Elizabeth Ann Daharsh, Kitty Ann Zulaica, and Alesia D. Mendez. Also his sister, Pat Cavitt, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite time of year was Spring when the bluebonnets were in bloom. He had a good sense of humor and appreciated funny jokes. He loved to cook and his biscuits were his specialty. He had fond memories of his grandmother, Irene Pedroni whom he called Gran and enjoyed her sense of humor and zest for life. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (4174 US Hwy 281 N.) with Elder Bill McDonald officiating.
