Harold O Pittman Sr.

Harold O. Pittman, 81, of Burleson formerly of Stephenville, passed away December 19, 2016 in Burleson. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Harold was born on February 14, 1935 in Walnut Springs to the late John and Julia Jackson Pittman. He married the love of his life Tommye Ruth Westmoreland on October 1, 1955 in Saginaw and she preceded him in death on April 23, 2002. Harold retired after serving as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Airforce for many years. He then worked as an Environmentalist II for Tarleton State University for 17 years before his retirement. Harold resided in Stephenville since 1980 before moving to Burleson to be closer to his family. He was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Stephenville. Survivors include his sons, Harold O. Pittman, Jr and wife Lois of Burleson, and Thomas Wayde Pittman and wife Roseanna of The Netherlands; grandsons, Jackson Pittman of Burleson, David Pittman of California, and Kyle Pittman of Plano; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving family and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; grandson, Dylan Pittman; brothers, James, William, and Clinton; and sisters, Olivia, Ruth, Johnnie, and Oneta.
