Harold Lewis Olson

Harold Lewis “HL” Olson, 92, passed away on May 19, 2024, at his residence in Three Oaks Assisted Living in Dublin, Texas.

HL was born September 15, 1931 in Floyd, New Mexico to George Alvy Olson and Nancy Ella Swaim Olson. He was married to Betty Lee McClure on May 14, 1949 in Clovis New Mexico. HL is a United States Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. He retired from the Texas Highway Department after 24 years of loyal service. HL and Betty lived in Stephenville since 1960.

HL is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Lee Olson; his parents George Alvy & Nancy Ella Olson; his brothers Raymond, Buford, & G.A. Olson; and his sisters Thelma VanSickel, Leora Shaw, & Madie Dansbee.

HL is survived by his nephew, Jim and wife Kathy Olson of Sanger, TX; niece, Donna Olson of Stephenville, TX; great nieces, Brandy Cherry of Dallas, TX, Ashley and husband Tony Titsworth of Wiley, TX, and Rebeca Simmons of Pampa, TX; great great nephews JD Cherry of Austin, TX, Noah and wife Taylor Cherry of Red River, NM, Isaiah and Parker Titsworth of Wylie, TX; and great great nieces, Landry and Lawson Titsworth of Wiley, TX, and Lily Simmons of Corpus Christie, TX.

A viewing for HL will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. and service at 2:00 P.M. at Stephenville Funeral Home in Stephenville, Texas.
