Gwen Gordon Bray

Gwen Gordon Bray, 88, of Stephenville passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, September 30th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Kory Koch officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home Gwen was born on November 18, 1924 in Sylvester, Texas to the late Condy and Olive Loetta Swanner Gordon. She married Harry Bray on December 19, 1941 in Huckabay. Harry preceded her in death July 18, 1989. Gwen was a restaurant owner, and a member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church. She had lived in Stephenville most of her life. Survivors include her son, Scotty and wife Lenora Bray of Dublin; daughters, Mary and husband Eddie Howard of Dublin, and Billie and husband Bryan Luhning of Dripping Springs; grandchildren, Shannon Jo Bray of Cibolo, Dana Howard Herod of Iredell, and Monty Ray of Castleton, New York; great grandchildren, Veronica and Everett Ray of Castleton, NY and Taylor Herod McDaniel of Brownwood; brother, Leon Gordon of Stephenville, and several nieces and nephews Gwen was also preceded in death by a sister, Adell Bigham; and by four brothers, Floyd, Travis, Bishop, and Billie Dean Gordon. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimers Assn., or the Oakdale United Methodist Church.
