Glenda Ruth Byrd Stephens December 19, 1939 - November 25, 2017 Glenda Ruth Stephens, 77, from Stephenville died Saturday, November 25, 2017, at home in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 29th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Glenda was born on December 19, 1939 in Brownwood to the late Walter Leslie and Willie Mae Means Byrd. She married Marshall Stephens on August 15, 1988 in Stephenville. Marshall preceded her in death on March 22, 2009. Glenda worked most of her life as a restaurant manager before starting her business, she opened a craft mall. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stephenville. Glenda is survived by her daughter, Dianna Christine Thompson and husband Alex Perez of Fort Worth; son, Charles Dwain Thompson and wife Kathi of Stephenville; step-daughters, Dereece and husband Kenneth Howell of Stephenville, Denean and husband Benny Rice of Brooksmith; step-son, Harold Stephens of Katy; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
