Gerardo "Jesse" Ortiz

Gerardo "Jesse" Ortiz 52, of Stephenville, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009 at his residence. Funeral Service will be 2:00 Sunday, December 6, 2009 St. Mary's Catholic Church with father Phil McNamara officiating. Rosary: 6:00 PM Saturday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial: Country Oaks Cemetery near Hico. Jesse was born in Durango Mexico on October 3, 1957. He married Alejandra Zuniga on December 16, 1976 in Hico. He has resided in Erath County since 1979 moving here from Hico. Jesse worked as a contractor specializing in masonry work. He was a member of St. Brendan's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Alejandra Ortiz of Stephenville; his children, Jessica Renee Ortiz; Julio Cesar Ortiz; Sharee Alexandra Ortiz and Gerardo Fabian Ortiz; grandchildren, Jonathan; Adrian and Jesslynn; father and step-mother Ladislao Ortiz and Hermila Luna; many brothers and sisters. He is also survived by a host of relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother Petra Martinez.
