Geraldine Stone

Geraldine Stone, 88, formerly of Erath County died Friday, May 31, 2013 in Pleasanton, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel and Howard Martin will be officiating. Burial will follow Pilot Knob Cemetery in Erath County. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Geraldine was born on August 11, 1924 to Robert Nathan Mayo and Dorthea Norris in Pilot Knob, Texas. She was one of six children. She married James E Stone in Erath County on February 28, 1942 and after 57 years together he passed away on April 13, 1999. Geraldine was a homemaker and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed Family, Friends, Bridge, and Gardening. Over the years of marriage they resided in Cuero, TX, Springhill, La, and Yoakum TX. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Geraldine is survived by daughter, Peggy Kasper, and husband Don Kasper of Three Rivers, TX; son Gary Stone and wife Kay of Pueblo, Co; daughter-in-law Irene Stone, Frisco, TX; grandchildren Sheri Kasper, Chip Kasper, Stacy Baros, Lisa West, James E Stone II, Jason Stone; great-grandchildren Jordan Kasper-Hines, James E Stone III, Bruce West, Braden Baros, Luke West, Lauran West and Weston Baros; brother Douglas Mayo; sister Lavada Allison. Geraldine was also preceded in death by her son James E Stone Jr.; brothers, Clarence Mayo, Bill Mayo; sister Dee Gardner.
