Morgan Mill Gaylon Chandler, 75, of Morgan Mill, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in Hagansport, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joe Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Mill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Gaylon was born on February 8, 1936 in Sap Oak to the late Guy and Virgie Cantrell Chandler. He married Helen Cooper on March 1, 1958 in Hagansport, Texas. Gaylon was Baptist and has lived in Erath County most of his life. He made his living as a farmer and rancher. Gaylon served his community as a member of the Morgan Mill School Board and the Morgan Mill Cemetery Association. He loved spending time with his family especially his grand babies. Survivors include his wife, Helen; daughter, Gail Chandler of Frisco; grandchildren, Sunni Smith of New York City, NY; Sammi and Charlie Bice of Frisco; Levi Smith of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Fiona Bice; Sullivan Bice and Haley Bice all of Frisco; and several nieces and nephews.
