Gary O. Fowler, 68, of Stephenville, died Friday, May 17, 2019 in Stephenville.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Valley Grove Baptist Church with a visitation preceding the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, also at Valley Grove Baptist Church.
Gary was born on August 9, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Walter and Maryellen Ritter Fowler. Gary married Bonnie Allen on June 3, 1972 at the Liberty Point Baptist Church in Cadiz, Kentucky. He graduated from Tarleton State with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. Gary was a member at Valley Grove Baptist Church and a past president of Stephenville Lions Club. He and Bonnie have lived the past 40 years in Stephenville, moving from Bowling Green, Kentucky. Gary worked for FMC for over 37 years where he retired as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
Gary is survived by his wife, Bonnie Fowler and son, Trevor Fowler; both of STEPHENVILLE, TX; brother-in-law, Tim Allen of Cadiz, KY; brother, Wayne Fowler and sister, Peggy Jones both of Glasgow, KY; nieces, Denise Leraaen of Bowling Green, KY and Kara Dawn Allen of Nashville, TN; nephew, Kevin Douglas Allen and brother-in-law, Tommie Allen; both of Cadiz, KY.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gregory, who disappeared in June, 1999.
The Fowler family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Texas Lions Camp for Crippled Children in Kerville, TX or to the Erath County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service in Stephenville, TX.
