G. W. "Cowboy" Stewart

G. W. ‘Cowboy' Stewart died Monday, December 26, 2011 at his home in the Hannibal community. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Hannibal United Methodist Church with Reverend Steve Holston officiating. Burial will follow at Hannibal Cemetery under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Cowboy was born in Erath County in the Hannibal Community on January 29, 1933. Cowboy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doris Guidry Stewart; daughter, Zandra and husband Nolan Lewallen; son, Spur and wife Rinda Stewart; six grandchildren, Aaron and wife Stacey Lewallen, Noelle and husband Russell Robinson, Spur Wade Stewart, Seth Lewallen, Sam Stewart, and Lauren Lewallen; five great grandchildren; sister, June Spain; brother, Montie and wife Judy Stewart; grandmother, Matilda Stewart; uncle, Richard Stewart, and brother-in-law, L. B. Carey and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Montie Day and Berniece Stewart, and a sister, Callie Carey; and brother-in-law, Leonard Spain all of Hannibal.
