Francis Bronell Hambright, age 81, departed her earthly home in Stephenville, Texas, on December 23, 2024. She passed away peacefully in her sleep and awoke to her heavenly home, welcomed by angels rejoicing at her arrival.
Born on February 20, 1943, in Abilene, Texas, Bronell was the cherished daughter of Tommie and Evelyn Allen. On October 19, 1985, she married the love of her life, Brian Hambright, and together they built a life grounded in faith and love.
Bronell was called to serve as a missionary, faithfully ministering to others wherever God placed her. However, her most treasured role in life was that of a devoted mother. She not only lovingly nurtured her own son and daughter but also extended her care and guidance to many others, becoming a spiritual mother to those in need.
Bronell loved her Lord and Savior with all her heart, soul, and mind. She exemplified how to be the hands and feet of Jesus, serving as a fervent prayer warrior. If you had a need, you could always count on Bronell to lift it in prayer. She also had a gift for hospitality, welcoming others into her home for ministry and fellowship. Remarkably, her final gathering was a Christmas party she hosted for the residents of her assisted living facility just three days before her passing.
Bronell was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Tommie and Evelyn Allen, and her devoted husband, Brian Hambright. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith cherished by her sisters, Adele Price and Betty Kersh; her brothers, Tom Allen and Mike Allen; her son, Alex Burnett, and his wife, Mary; her daughter, Teresa Hill, and her husband, John. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Flores, Megan Hines and her husband, Jaylan, Logan Burnett, and Sarah Hill; as well as her great-grandchildren, Kalib Crittendon, Breyton Crittendon, Fisher Flores, and soon-to-arrive Quinlan Hines.
A celebration of Bronell’s life will be held on January 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Chapel in Lubbock, Texas, preceded by a reception at 10:00 a.m. Flowers may be sent to Resthaven Funeral Home.
Bronell’s life was a testimony of faith, love, and service. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
