Frances Walker Morton, 90, of Stephenville, went to be with her Lord and Savior at noon on Sunday, February 01, 2009 in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 3, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Morton Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Frances was born on December 13, 1918 in Stephenville to the late Will and Ollie King Walker. She married John Estell Morton on December 20, 1936 in Stephenville and he preceded her in death. Frances was a rancher and also worked alongside her husband on their water well service business. She was also a nurse's aid and caretaker, taking care of her neighbors and her family whenever they needed her. Frances resided in Stephenville all of her life and was a long time member of the Oak Dale Methodist Church. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Frances is survived by her daughter, Sandra Davis and husband Bill of Stephenville; granddaughter, Angie Bryan and husband Kenny of Huckabay; grandchildren, Tammy Patterson of Stephenville, Sam McCormick of Hamilton, Amber LeFevre and husband Jonathon of Stamford, Gina Morton of Stephenville; great-grandchildren, Katie Bryan, Josh Bryan, Chesney LeFevre, Carli LeFevre, and Chamvree LeFevre; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband John Estell Morton; daughter, Dorothy Patterson; sons, John Wayne Morton, and Bruce Morton; a grandchild, Ricky Charles Patterson; four brothers, and two sisters. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
