Frances Rucker

Frances Rucker, 82, of Stephenville, formerly of Denver City, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Denton Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 23rd at Denver City Memorial Park in Denver City. Under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home Frances was born on October 7, 1929, in Lamesa to the late O. B. and Annie Brown Best. She married Charles Kenneth Rucker on April 26, 1948 in Lovington, New Mexico. He preceded her in death March 19, 1999. Frances was a member of the Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She lived in Denver City from 1948 until she moved to Stephenville in 1990. Survivors include her daughter Sue Vernon of Denton; grandson, Kenny Vernon and Melissa Wynne of Cypress; granddaughter, Lisa and husband Jeff Morales of Denton; great grandchildren, Kathleen Vernon, Cassandra Vernon, Chloe Vernon, Alycea Morales, Daniel Morales, and Kaleb Morales; Georgia Seay, and Brooklyn Seay; brother, Jr. Best of Roswell, NM; two nephews, one niece, many cousins, and many many friends. Frances was also preceded in death by a son, Sgt. Kenneth Ray Rucker; son-in-law, Richard Vernon; and by two brothers and one sister.
