Frances Grace (Boyett) Andrews

Frances Grace (Boyett) Andrews, 92, of Stephenville, died Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Stephenville Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1:00 until 2:00 PM Thursday. Frances was born on March 21, 1918 in Bosque County to the late Wilburn and Ida Mae Cunningham Phillips. She attended John Tarleton College in Stephenville, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Daniel Baker College. She taught in public schools for over 40 years, teaching in the Stephenville ISD most of those years. Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church, Retired Teacher Association of Erath County, Beta Sigma Phi, and volunteered many years with Meals of Wheels, and for twenty years with the Harris Methodist Auxiliary. She was a life long resident of Stephenville. Frances was preceded in death by her second husband, Sid Andrews. Her first husband, H. L. ‘Slim' Boyett, also preceded her in death. Survivors include her two daughters, Monette (Boyett) and husband Carlton Vernon of Plano, and Harriett (Boyett) and husband Michael Wolf of Austin; and grandson, Scott Vernon of Plano. Frances was also preceded in death by three brothers, Rance, James, and Rupert Philllips. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, or Universal Health Services of Stephenville.
