Floyd Pierce

Floyd E. Pierce, 71, died on 15 February 2021 at home surrounded by his beloved wife and children.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Fox officiating.

Floyd was born on 2 November 1949 to John and Juanita “Sis” Carr Pierce in Odessa, Texas.  Floyd attended Crane ISD until his senior year and graduated from Moran High School.  After high school, he went to Cisco Junior College for 2 years. Floyd joined the Navy and was honorably discharged.  Upon his return he transferred to Tarleton State College and met his wife Sandra Lesley. He graduated from Tarleton State University with his Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Education.  He continued his education and graduated with his Masters of Education degree in Education Administration.

Floyd married Sandra Lesley on May 21, 1972. They had 3 children, Kenneth Ross, John Weston II, and Misty Yvonne.  From there to his death, Floyd and Sandra created a legacy.

Floyd is survived by his wife Sandra Lesley Pierce; sons Kenneth Ross and Michelle Pierce of Stephenville and John Weston II and Donna of Kingwood, Texas; daughter Misty Yvonne and Brandon Houston of Buffalo, Texas; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nicole Pierce, John Weston III and Lynna Pierce, Jeffrey Wyatt Pierce and Becca Hobbs, Hannah McKenzie Pierce, Liberty Madison Ruth Pierce,                 Mackenzie Anne Houston, Sara Elizabeth Ann Pierce and Great Grandchild, James William Pierce; Brother Carlos Fox of Whitney, Texas; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Kenneth and Betty Lesley of Chalk Mountain, Texas

Proceeding him in death parents are John Weston Pierce and Juanita Carr Pierce, Brother- Billy Weston Pierce, Sister- Patricia “Patty” Ann Hollingsworth.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you would do what Floyd would do and take your family out to eat or to a ballgame. Other ideas could be donations of books to a local school library or some of Floyd’s favorite organizations:
