Floyd Alton McCoy, 80 of Stephenville, died Saturday, June 22, 2019 in Erath County.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 27th at Erath Gardens of Memory with Gary Williams officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Floyd was born on April 21, 1939 in Chalk Mountain to the late Alton and Allie Mae Herrin McCoy. He married Darlene Young on October 31, 1958 in Stephenville. Darlene preceded him in death on August 8, 2017. On May 1, 2019, Floyd married Brenda Lee Kissell in Las Vegas. Floyd was a farmer, a member of the Double N Cowboy Church in Dublin, and a lifelong resident of Erath County.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Brenda McCoy; 3 children, Carla and husband Randy Forson, Steve and wife Lynette McCoy, and James McCoy and Michelle Benoit all of Stephenville; grandchildren, Joey Shelton, Amanda Forson, Angela Ngetich, Johnny McCoy, Latasha Vosburg, Karl Shelton, Jimmy McCoy, Eric McCoy, Krystle Sprinkle; great grandchildren, Aahron, Aubrianna, Jimmy, Jr., Mackenzie, Jayden, Johnny, Jason, Maddox, Landry, Rilynn, Luis, Jr., Easton; and a great great granddaughter, Wynter.
In addition to Darlene, Floyd was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Shelton.
