Flossie Laverne Wilson Trussell

Flossie Laverne Wilson Trussell, 90, of Stephenville, died Friday, February 3, 2012 in Stephenville, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Holston officiating. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Flossie was born on November 12, 1921 in Coryell County, Texas to Henderson and Adelia Haire Wilson. Flossie was the last surviving child of Henderson and Adelia's 9 children. Flossie graduated from Copperas Cove High School where she played on the state tennis team. Flossie married Edwin Trussell on October 5, 1941 in Bell County. Flossie retired from J.C. Penney in Florissant, Missouri and moved to Stephenville in 1984. She was a member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church. Flossie is survived by her husband Edwin; her son, Rick (Carla) of Pharr, Texas; daughter-in-law, Lynn of St. Charles, Missouri. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Daron Trussell of Stephenville, Lindsay (Spencer) Striegler of Bryan, Texas, Steven (Jen) Trussell of Overland, Missouri, Derek (Billie) Trussell of Brandon, Florida; 3 great-grandchildren, Emerson, Ashley, and Tyler Trussell. Flossie was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Keith Trussell in 2007.
