Faye Self

Faye Self, 94, of Stephenville passed away Wednesday December 5, 2012 in Hamilton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Faye was born on February 6, 1918 in Hamilton to the late Mark and Mamie Oglesby Manning. She married Robert Andrew Self, Jr. on October 1, 1939 in Hamilton, and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1980. She and her husband owned and operated Selfs Boot Shop of Stephenville for many years. Faye was a long time member of Graham Street Church of Christ, and had lived in Stephenville since 1951. Faye is survived by her children, daughter, Sheron Kenton and husband Jim of Hamilton; sons, Robert Andrew Self, III and wife Donna of Hamilton, David Self and wife Linda of Bonita Springs, Florida; 7 grandchildren, Kelly Kenton Chacon, Kelene Kenton Curry, Phil Kenton, Penny Self Williams, Rob Self, Lindsey Self-Phillips, Mark Manning Self; 12 great grandchildren.
