Evelyn Dorothy Watson

Evelyn Dorothy Watson, 92, of Stephenville, passed away Tuesday, May 03, 2011 in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buddy Wells officiating. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Evelyn was born on May 30, 1918 in Olivia, Texas to the late G.H. and Emma Anderson Wilson. She married John P. Watson on November 12, 1939 in Olivia and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2004. Evelyn has resided in Stephenville since 1945 and was a member of the Stephenville First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Evelyn is survived by her sons, Gary Watson and wife Martha of Granbury, and Dennis Watson and wife Lupe of Waco; brother-in-law, Robert Watson of Houston; sister-in-law, Louise Wilson of Houston; five grandchildren; one step-grandchild; seven great-grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Dale in 1989. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Stephenville.
