Evelyn Musette Montgomery July 3, 1925-June 22, 2016 Evelyn Musette Montgomery, 90, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in Stephenville with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Jesse Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Morgan Mill Cemetery in Morgan Mill. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Evelyn was born on July 3, 1925 in Erath County to the late Monty Lee Jones and Nellie Pack Jones. She married the love of her life, Delbert Montgomery on October 13, 1944 in Erath County and together they raised three daughters. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1998. Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Erath County graduating from Huckabay High School in 1944. Evelyn was a Housewife and mother and also the Personnel Manager for Kmart in Stephenville for 15 years. She was a member of the Mid-Cities Baptist Church. Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Barbara Tischler of Ft. Worth, Carolyn Garrett of Ft. Worth, and Cheryl Lowe of Stephenville; grandchildren, Tracy, Missy, Shane, and Tischa; great-grandchildren, Aphton, Zachary, Conner, Coby, Bailey, Taylor, Avery, and Logan; one great-great grandson, Kaden. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Delbert Montgomery; grandsons, Scott Lowe and Cole Tischler; sisters, Madge Mayhare, Kathalee Pack, and Annie Rives; brothers, Cecil Pack, Gerald Jones, and Doug Jones.
