Eva Charlene Millican Walls, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Lewisville, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 26, 2011 at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Monday, one hour prior to services. Eva was born in Coke County, Mary Neal, Texas on August 19, 1919 to the late Charlie and Annie Millican. She married Cloven Boyt Walls on January 20, 1936. They were married 63 years before his death in 2001. Eva and Cloven were ranchers in Oklahoma and several locations in Texas, including Evant, Gatesville, and Hamilton. They raised cattle, goats, sheep, and horses as well as farming grains and hay. Eva was always by Cloven's side helping him do whatever was necessary to provide a living for their 4 children including sending all 4 through college. She was a staunch Baptist and active in her church at Hamilton for many years. She had a strong faith in God, reading her Bible daily and making sure her family attended church regularly. She was an excellent cook and cooked 3 meals a day for her family most of her life, including making biscuits from scratch with gravy for breakfast every day. She was a rodeo fan to the core, attending all her children and grandchildren's horse activities as well as basketball games. She is survived by her identical twin sister, Reba Millican Hipp of Durant, Oklahoma; her children, Charles and wife Linda Walls of Floresville, Ronnie Walls of Stephenville, Terry Walls of Goldthwaite, and Karen Walls of Aubrey; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Delia Walls of Stephenville and Joyce Walls of Henrietta; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Millican; a sister, Vera Brodnax; and one grandson, Chuck Walls Memorials may be made to the Hospice of your choice. The family greatly appreciates all the caregivers that made Eva comfortable during her illness.
