Eula Dowell

Eula Dowell, 77, of Stephenville, died Thursday, February 26, 2015 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 4th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Eula was born on October 16, 1937 in Brad, Texas to the late Wesley Ernest and Annie Clepper Bradley. She married F. H. ‘Doc' Dowell on February 28, 1953 in Granbury. Doc preceded her in death on January 30, 1997. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and had lived most of her life in Erath County. Eula worked in the bakery department at Winn Dixie for many years, and was also a seamstress. Eula is survived by three sons, Larry Dowell of Huckabay, Jerry Dowell of Rowlett, and Wayne Dowell of Stephenville; daughter, Julie Pair of Dublin; sister, Bessie Lou Moore of Granbury; brothers, Jesse Bradley of Granbury, and George Bradley of Jackson, Alabama; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Eula was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Bradley.
