Ethel E Byrd Logan

Ethel E Byrd Logan, 95, of Stephenville, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008 in Weatherford. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the Huckabay Cemetery in Huckabay. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Ethel was born February 28, 1913 in Hannibal, Texas to the late Grover and Helen Emmett Byrd. She married James C. Logan September 1933 in Huckabay and he preceded her in death in February 1982. Ethel was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved cooking, baking and sewing. She resided most of her life in Erath County and living the past 2 years in Weatherford. She was a member of the Oakdale Methodist Church in Stephenville. She was a homemaker and helped run the family dairy. She is survived by a granddaughter, Melody K Pulliam and husband Mike of Weatherford; great-granddaughters, Pamela Pack of Stephenville and Christine Elrod of Stephenville; 2 great-great grandchildren, Jeri Lynn Elrod of Stephenville and Christopher Elrod of Stephenville; sister, Willa Byrd of Lipan; sisters-in-law, Atrell Byrd of Granbury and Bethel Logan of Tulsa, OK; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
