Ernestine Goodman

Ernestine Goodman, 86, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Granbury. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr, David Becker officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Ernestine was born April 5, 1922 in Fort Worth to the late William Ernest and Ada Rich Avery. She married Huey Goodman on January 18, 1947 in Granbury. He preceded her in death on November 15, 2001. Ernestine was a resident of Erath County since 1947. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She is survived by her son, Huey Lynn Goodman of Richmond, TX; sister-in-law, Viola Avery of Granbury; brother-in-law; Terrell D. Goodman of Fort Worth; nephews and spouses, James and Joyce Avery of Litteton, CO; Larry and Lisa Avery of Granbury; niece and spouse, Brenda Carolyn and Jim Elrod of Granbury; many great-nieces and nephews and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, William Ernest Avery, Jr. and one niece, Linda Avery Dupree. Memorials may be made to Foster's Home for Children of to the American Cancer Society.
