Emma Irene Spikes Labaume

Emma Irene Spikes LaBaume, 90, of Plano, passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 at Day Spring Assisted Living in Plano, Texas. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday February, 21, 2008 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel in Stephenville. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Emma was born October 29, 1917 in Gustine, Texas to the late Issac and Della Spikes. She married Harry "Bunk" LaBaume on May 6, 1936 in Dublin and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1995. She was a long time resident of Dublin (1936 to 1959) and Stephenville(1959 to 2002) and lived near her daughters in Mesquite and Plano for the past six years. She is survived by her four children, Jon LaBaume and wife Elaine of Floydada, TX; Don LaBaume and wife, Janice of Marble Falls, TX; Martha Ann Haynes and husband James of Mesquite; and Jane Truelove Bell and husband, Glen of Plano, TX as well as five grandchildren, Randell LaBaume, Coy LaBaume, Jana Matteson, Kelly Truelove and Kelli Childre and also her seven great grand children, Kaylie Shelton, Emily, Nathan and Noah Matteson; Ethan Truelove; Harrison and Kate Childre. She had a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Clint, Lige and Witt Spikes and sisters, Janie Richy and Gracie Miller.
