Elvis Lowe

Elvis Lowe, 69, of Huckabay, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 7th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Lowe Family Cemetery in Huckabay. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Elvis was born on November 3, 1944 in Stephenville to the late Chester Odell and Edra Lee Dunn Lowe. He married Cheryl Montgomery on August 16, 1963. Elvis was a retired mechanic, dairyman, and cattleman. Elvis operated a dairy in Huckabay over 40 years, and he was a member of the Huckabay Church of Christ. Elvis was a devoted husband and father. The joys of Elvis' life were his four grandchildren. Elvis is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Russell King of Dublin; a daughter-in-law, Marcella Lowe of Huckabay; grandchildren, Zachary Scott Lowe, Russell Conner King, Bailey Madison King, and Taylor Cheyenne Lowe; sister, Janie Thompson of Huckabay, brothers, Walter Lowe of Huckabay, and Randy and wife Debby Lowe of Huckabay; mother-in-law, Evelyn Montgomery of Fort Worth. Elvis was preceded in death by a son, Delbert Scott Lowe on May 14, 2010. The Lowe family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Huckabay School.
