Eloise Ray

Eloise Ray, 86, of Stephenville passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Huckabay Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Eloise was born on December 28, 1924 in Huckabay to the late Omar and Jewell Allen Metsgar. She married Chester H. Ray on October 24, 1942 in Stephenville and he preceded her in death on September 19, 1990. Eloise has resided all of her life in Erath County and was a member of the Huckabay Church of Christ. She was a homemaker. Eloise is survived by sons, Fred Ray and wife Christie; Eugene Ray and wife Larinda, and Billy Ray and wife Joyce all of Huckabay; a sister, Patsy Davis of Morgan Mill; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lewis and Billy Joe Mestgar.
