Ella Ruth Dalby

Ella Ruth Dalby, 81, of Stephenville, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 27, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Ruth was born, November 30, 1927, in the Johnsville Community to the late Joe Bailey and Ethel Walker Meador. She married James Edward Dalby, May 9, 1947 in Fort Worth. He preceded her in death February 13, 2004. Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was a life long resident of Erath County. She worked many years as a seed technician with the Texas Department of Agriculture. Ruth is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Georgia Dalby of Floyds Knob, Indiana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dale Evatt of Stephenville and Nancy and Robert Ammon of Colorado; two sisters, Grace Behrens of Brady and Betty Ratliff of Granbury; and six grandchildren. Family wish expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the charity of choice.
