Elayne Jackson-Block passed away peacefully, January 24, 2025.
Elayne Block was born to Layne and Hettie Jackson in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 30th, 1942. She married Bobby Block on December 26, 1982, in Arlington, Texas and they were married for 41 years. After completing high school, she worked as a piano teacher and then worked as a medical secretary for 25 years at Hugley Medical Center for Dr. William Perryman.
She loved playing piano for the churches she attended, both Mansfield and Bluff Dale Baptist Church. She was an avid reader of her Bible, other hobbies included sewing, baking. She visited often with her friends and was always looking for a way she could help and spend time with others. Her friends and family can attest that she loved anything that had to do with family gatherings and especially loved the holidays.
Elayne was preceded in death by her parents, Layne and Hettie Jackson, and her daughter Angela.
Elayne is survived by her Husband, Bobby Fred Block; sons Trey Kuykendall and wife Becky and Mark Block and wife Leslie; Daughter Amy Gunning and Nathan; Grandchildren Colin and Kate Kuykendall, Nate and Savanna Gunning, and Mollie and Katie Block; as well as four great grandchildren with one more on the way. Also survived by her brother Larry and wife Linda, Her sister Cynthia and husband Don.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, at 12:00pm at Bluff Dale Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Pace officiating. Burial will follow at Glenn Cemetery in Bluff Dale, Texas.
