Edwin Boucher

Edwin Boucher, 82, of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 surrounded by his family. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Valley Grove Baptist Church in Stephenville with Bill Allen officiating. Interment will follow at the Duffau Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Edwin was born on March 19, 1933 in Erath County to the late Uel and Myrtle Fincher Boucher. He lived most of his life in Erath County and graduated from Alexander High School. Ed married his first love, Peggy Elvonda "Von" Stringer on August 11, 1952 in Duffau and together they had four children, Debra, Mike, David, and Mark. On December 29, 1984 after 32 years of marriage, Von preceded him in death. Edwin later met and married his second love Charlene Mayhew Fornes on January 31, 1986 in Stephenville. During their almost 31 years of marriage, they enjoyed supporting their children and grandchildren and attending sporting events, especially Tarleton basketball. Edwin worked for Wolfe Nursery for 45 years before retiring. He was a deacon in the Primitive Baptist Church and was known by his family and friends as being a kind gentle husband, father, grandfather, and friend who loved his Lord and lived by the Word. He loved being with his family, raising and working cattle and watching sports. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Charlene Boucher of Stephenville; daughter, Debra Sue Wolf of Cleburne; sons, Mike Boucher and wife Gayla of Stephenville, Dr. David Boucher and wife Donna of Stephenville, and Mark Boucher and wife Debbie of Dublin; step- sons, Kyle Fornes and wife Natilee Noble of Stephenville, and Kobe Fornes of Lake Leon; sisters, Lena and husband Ray Flory of Crowley, and Daphene Allen of Tomball; grandchildren, Alison Sikes, Stephen Wolf, Cody Damron, Brooke Mielinski, Dr. Miranda Nash, Jared Boucher, John Mark Boucher, Jeremy Boucher, Danielle Boucher, and Joshua Boucher; Karah Lasater, Jordan Fornes, Hannah Fornes, Keaton Fornes, Keller Fornes, and Kason Fornes; and 15 great-grandchildren. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy "Von" Boucher; and a brother, Wilburn Boucher, an infant sister, Barbara Joyce Boucher; and a son-in-law David Wolf.
