Edith Luker Carr

Huckabay Edith Luker Carr, 90, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve Holston officiating. Burial will follow at Hannibal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Sunday (one hour prior to services). Edith was born on April 16, 1921 in Comanche County, Texas. She was an active member in the Huckabay community, and served as Erath County Treasurer for 15 years. Edith was also an active member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Dale Carr; and daughter, Anita Lorhea Carr. Edith is survived by her daughter, Deanna Glasgow and her husband Bob Glasgow, grandchildren: Delaina Taylor and husband Sam Taylor, Hollie Isham and husband Shay Isham; and Robert "Jody" Glasgow and his wife Shawna Glasgow, as well as eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren Online condolences may be made at www.stephenvillefh.com.
