Eddie Arndt

Eddie Arndt, 70, of Stephenville, died Saturday, December 04, 2010 in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at West End Cemetery with Rev. David Keith officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Eddie was born January 30, 1940 in Lawrence County, Illinois to the late Edmond Jacob and Amanda Blanche Chamnis Arndt. He married Frieda Garrard on April 18, 1959 in Robinson, Illinois. Eddie was a mechanic, as a co-owner of A & B Equipment in Stephenville, and he was a farmer. He also had a love for stock car racing. Eddie moved to Stephenville in 1980; moving here from Oblong, Ill. where he had lived many years. He is survived by his wife, Frieda; children, Robbin and husband John Bennett of Robinson, Ill., Rodney Gene and wife Judy Arndt of Stephenville, and Randy and wife Tammy Arndt of Stephenville; grandchildren, Amanda and husband Rusty Stone, Andrew Wartsbaugh, Aaron Wayne Wartsbaugh, Amber Arndt, Laura and husband Ricky Robertson, Justin Travis Arndt, Brandon Arndt, Brittany Arndt, and Tamara Arndt; great grandchildren, Bryan Robertson, Jacob Arndt, William Ray Alvarez, Issac Stone, and McKayla Robertson; sisters, Audry Schultz of Indiana, Mary Ellen Niel of Mission, TX, Thelma and husband Richard Edwards of Indiana, and Virginia Ritemyer of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Ray Arndt. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Diabetes Assn.
