Dwayne "Squeaky" Riley Sr.

October 19, 1937 — August 11, 2020

Dwayne Riley, 82 years young, passed away Tuesday morning August 11, 2020 at his home in Granbury surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Rummage officiating. Interment will follow at the East Memorial Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Dwayne was born on October 19, 1937 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Cowan A. and Mary E. Riley. He had the honor of serving in the U.S. Navy and was a 32nd-degree Scottish Rite Mason.

Dwayne was the owner of Dallas Sanitation Corporation, a business he built from the ground up, extending from DFW to East Texas. Following a short retirement, he chose to return to work (for fun he stated) and drove for Enterprise Car Rental until January 2020. In his spare time, Dwayne enjoyed mowing, fixing anything with an engine, and loved playing golf as well as teaching others the game.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and 1st wife of 42 years, Donna Suitt Riley whom he married on June 26, 1957 in Marietta, Ok; his son, Gaylon D. Riley, Jr.; parents, Cowan A. Riley and Mary E. Riley; and a brother, Thomas A. Riley.

He is remembered with deep love by his wife of 17 years, Dee Jowers Riley, whom he married on March 22, 2003; his children, Kathy Kennemer and husband Michael of Granbury; Vance Riley and wife Carmen of Granbury; Tamra Riley Cochrane of Grapevine; grandchildren, Justin Kennemer and wife Erica, Connor Kennemer, Jacob Riley, Samantha Stone Powell and husband Jeremy, and Coby Riley.

Dwayne was also blessed with a blended family that included daughter, Debbie Roberts and husband Bruce of Arlington; son, Tony Jowers and wife Sandy of Italy; grandchildren, Sarah Scheffrahn, Christopher Roberts, Brandi Ennis, Brittany Hoskinson, Bethany Lindsey, and Brook Harris. He is also survived by his 27 incredibly smart and cool great-grandchildren.

Serving as Pallbearers: Clayton Suitt, Bud Coronado, Tommy Anich, Tony Jowers, Bruce Roberts, and Chris Roberts.
