Dorothy "Dot" Manley

Dorothy ‘Dot' Manley, 85, of Stephenville, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2012 in Stephenville. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Dot was born on September 1, 1926 in Clarksville, Arkansas to the late Lewis and Pearl Billingsley Nordin. She married L. H. ‘Cotton' Manley. He preceded her in death in 1992. Dot has resided in Stephenville since1966 previously residing in Big Spring and was a member of Graham Street Church of Christ. Dot spent most of her life as a waitress, working at Raymonds Café and The Donut Shop. Dot is survived by her daughters, Linda and husband Paul Fannin of Colleyville, and Barbara and husband Lynn Hughes of Stephenville; grandchildren, Rodney Fannin, Bradley Fannin, Cody Ledbetter, Crystal Ledbetter, Tamara Hughes, and John Hughes; great grandchildren, Cole, David, Tate, Parker, Ella, Brooks, Rylie, Landry, Colton, and Jack. Dot was also preceded in death by a sister, Bettie McGee. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Susan G. Koman Foundation, or the Foster's Home for Children.
