Dorothy M (Rasberry) Laney

Dorothy M. Laney December 3, 1933 ~ April 16, 2016 Dorothy Laney, 82, of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Wells officiating. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the funeral home. Dorothy was born on December 3, 1933 in Morgan Mill to the late K.C. and Lois Cason Rasberry. She married Garland E. Laney on May 19, 1973 in Stephenville and he preceded her in death on January 22, 1998. Dorothy is a lifelong resident of Stephenville working as a nurse for the Stephenville Hospital and Community Nursing home before her retirement. Survivors include her sons, Garland Pack of Nacogdoches, Jerry Pack and wife Sandy of Stephenville, and Darrell Pack of Stephenville; daughters, Nadine Magee of Stephenville, and Renea Goodman of Stephenville; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Adkins of Weatherford, and Paralie Young of Joshua; brothers, Arnold Rasberry of Stephenville, Grady Rasberry of Lingleville, and Owen Rasberry of Morgan Mill; and many extended family and friends. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to the CCS Hospice 118 E, Liveoak #104 Dublin, Texas 76446
