Dorothy Ann Bruns

Dorothy Ann Bruns, 83, formerly of Stephenville, passed away Wednesday April 22, 2009 in Temple. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Grisham officiating. Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Dorothy was born on September 26, 1925 in Stephenville to the late Price William and Lillie Ann McNeill Jackson. She married Ralph Donald Bruns on September 8, 1951 in Wiemar, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2003. Dorothy has resided in Lampasas since 1975 after previously living in Stephenville. She served in the WAC during WWII. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Glenda Ann Bruns of Lampasas and Donna Marie Dowell of Stephenville; one son, Billy Ralph Bruns of Lampasas; and one brother, T.N. Jackson of Fort Worth; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Barry Neal Bruns, and a sister, Elsie Marie Brown.
