Dorothy Rogers Albright, 92, died Thursday, January 22, 2009 in Glen Rose. Funeral Services: 10:00 AM Monday at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville. Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Dorothy was born and grew up in Duffau, Texas. She attended grade school in Duffau and graduated from Hico High School. She loved the outside and worked on the farm with her father, sisters and brothers. Dorothy became a Christian in her early teens. Before a car she drove a team of mules 3 miles to a small church picking up friends and neighbors on the way. She married John Albright in 1936. They moved to Stephenville in 1943. Dorothy moved to Glen Rose, Texas in 2003 to be near her family. She enjoyed country life so beautiful and quiet. She worked in her yard; flowers and small garden. She fed the many birds and deer. Dorothy was a member of the Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by, her husband John in 1996, a daughter Jennie Lindop of Dallas in 2001, her mother Avis Rogers, her father Will Rogers, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by a daughter Doris Smith and husband Jerry, a son Hugh Albright of Brownsville, a son-in-law Robert Lindop of Dallas, one granddaughter Diana Rothstein and husband Michael of Frisco, Texas, one grandson, Brandon Greenhaw of Eastland; two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
