Dorotha Ripley Sikes September 27, 1924 - June 29, 2015 Dorotha Ripley Sikes, 90, of Stephenville, died Monday, June 29, 2015 in Stephenville Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 2nd at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with David Harris and Harry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Duffau Cemetery in Erath County. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Dorotha was born on September 27, 1924 in Erath County to the late John A. and Navada Pearl Scott Ripley. She married George Leon Sikes on March 15, 1943 in Stephenville. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1997. Dorotha was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ, lived most of her life in Erath County, and was a homemaker. Dorotha is survived by daughters, Virginia and husband Robert Hadley of Larue, Linda and husband Tom Moore of Dublin, Donna Gayle Howard of Athens; son, Ronald Darrell Sikes of Dublin; brothers, J. S. Ripley of Gorman and Joe Ripley of DeLeon; grandchildren, Eric Hadley of Plano, Ryan Moore of Little Elm, Sandra Tankersley Houston, Christina Smith of Houston, Amanda Brown of Rhome, Lonnie Davis of Denton, and Jason Davis of Midlothian; great grandchildren, Ian, Blake, Brielle, Kyle, Matthew, Caitlynn, and Olivia Dorotha was also preceded in death by an infant son, George Leon Sikes, Jr.; and by a granddaughter, Tracey Moore Crowell.
