Donna Kathryn Sparks, 80, died Thursday, June 19, 2008 Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Stephenville Funeral Home with Joel Sanders officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Clifton Cemetery in Clifton. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Kathryn was born, January 13, 1928 to the late Mary Lucy and James David Helton, in Clifton, Texas. She grew up in Clifton, but spent most of her life living in the Lingleville and Stephenville area. She married Thomas Kimball and they had two children, Steve Kimball and Mary Joe Kimball Hightower. She later married Lowell 'Popeye' Sparks on Sept. 27, 1980, in Stephenville. He preceded her in death October 15, 1998. She was a member of the Lingleville Baptist Church. Kathryn was known for her generosity, kindness, compassion, and wonderful cooking. She never met a stranger, and all were welcome in her home and at her table. She is survived by her son and his wife Rana Kimball; her daughter, Jo and husband Ken Hightower; four grandchildren, Ali Williams, Jenni Kimball, James George and Eli Kimball; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews The family respectfully request that any donations of flowers be given to local nursing homes of the donor's choice.
