Donna Joy Dowell

Donna Joy Dowell, 57, of Stephenville, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 1, 2013 at the Cottonwood Baptist Church in Dublin with Mike Fritscher officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Following services at Cottonwood, Donna's desires were to be cremated. Donna was born on June 25, 1956 in Dublin. She spent over 27 years as office manager of the Stephenville Animal Health and Medical Clinic, and has worked as office manager for the last several years for Dowell Well Service. Donna was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church, and Sisters of the Pythians; and was a lifelong resident of Stephenville. Survivors include daughter, Jennifer Gayle Fain Vargas and husband Manuel of Stephenville; son, Brandon Dale McKinney and wife Cathy of Stephenville; grandchildren, Clark Vargas and Lena Vargas; mother and stepfather, Joyce Toler Burnett and Jim Burnett of Weatherford; father, Donald Dowell of Stephenville; fiance, Alan Glover of Stephenville; brother, Mark Dowell of Stephenville; sister, Wendy Dowell Moser and husband Brent of Stephenville; nephew, Justin Dowell and wife Dylan; and nieces, Brittney and Lacey; and many other extended family members The Dowell family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
